How late does Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom take reservations? I'm wanting to spend the day in the park and make reservations for about 30 minutes after the park closes.

Jambo, Amanda! Thanks so much for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Animal Kingdom is my absolute favorite park, and we have been to the Rainforest Cafe many times. I love the storms that pass by occasionally during the meal and the Sparkling Volcano dessert is to die for.

Rainforest Cafe is typically open an hour longer than Disney's Animal Kingdom park. I just experimented with the reservation system, and it wouldn't let me make a reservation any later than 30 minutes after the park closed for the day, so it looks like your plans will work out fine. I do suggest that you plan in advance and make your dinner reservation as quickly as possible as they do go fast.

Make sure to check out the Rainforest Cafe gift shop while you are there. I could easily spend an hour looking at all the cool merchandise, and I have found some really unique souvenirs in that shop. I bought this turquoise geode light on my last trip, and I have since then tried to find more like it to no avail. I guess that means I need to plan another trip soon!

If you have any more questions, we'd be happy to help.

Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
