Ahoy, Charlene!
Pirate Night is by far my family's favorite night on a Disney Cruise Line vacation. The entire ship gets in the swashbuckling spirit, with pirate costumes ranging from a simple eye patch to what I like to call "full Jack Sparrow"! While my family has more of a "minimalist pirate" style, you'll see guests pull out all the stops with some arrrrrrrgh-mazing pirate outfits! No need to worry if you don't have a treasure chest full of pirate finery - every guest will be provided with a bandana, and there are lots of pirate items in the onboard shops!
Guests with Main Seating for the evening's meal will dine on a delicious pirate-themed dinner before heading to the Pool Deck for Mickey's Pirates IN the Caribbean deck party! Throughout the evening, there will be lots of
Character Greetings, with your favorite Disney Characters dressed in their pirate best - so cute! There will also be other pirate-themed activities, including crafts, trivia, and more. Around 10:00-10:15pm, guests will head out to the pool deck to enjoy Buccaneer Blast - an amazing fireworks show over the open sea. Did you know Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line to feature fireworks at sea? It's so cool to watch the show, and see the bright bursts reflected in the ocean water. The fireworks show typically wraps up around 10:30-10:45pm.
Hopefully your family will be able to stay up late enough to enjoy all of the fun events of Disney Cruise Line's Pirate Night before your visit to
San Francisco the next day.
I hope this helps with your planning - have a magical day! - Diane W.
