We are going in late March, what is the weather, and should we pack a raincoat, pants, sweater?

    Hey there, Paul!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, we’re so happy to have you. My family’s most favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort is around March and April as well. Coming from Arizona, we aren’t very used to the rain or any cold-weather, so no matter what, we always pack at least a few winter outfit options and a rain jacket. I forgot to mention, I am also an over-packer.

As a planner myself, I like to start packing everything 2 weeks before our trip. I’ve also learned that the weather in Florida can change quickly, so I like to wait to pack our outfits until we are about a week out. I recommend checking out the weather for Orlando as you pack and up until the moment you arrive. In the past, we usually pack shorts for our visits during this time. I do tend to pack everyone a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt, just in case. I always recommend bringing some sort of rain gear with you! A disposable poncho or rain jacket is a must-pack for my family. You never know when it might rain or sprinkle while visiting.

Paul, I’m sure whatever you are planning to pack for your visit will be just fine. There are plenty of shops at Disney Springs or throughout the parks that sell anything you may have forgotten. I like to “forget” a sweater every time we visit and purchase a new one. You would look at my stuff and think, isn’t it neat? Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete? My response to my husband is always, no big deal, I want more!

I hope this helps kick start your packing. Be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with as you continue to plan for this visit!

    See ya real soon!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
