    We have a late departure on our next trip. Can you tell me about the showers and changing facilities at the Riviera? We think we might need to use them after walking the parks all day.

    So nice to see you back here at planDisney with another great question. It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here so I'll wish you safe travels on your way there! How exciting that you'll be staying at the newest resort addition to Walt Disney World Resort! As you arrive at the European-inspired Disney's Riviera Resort, you'll be greeted by a charming palm tree-lined boulevard. Beautiful gardens and bubbling fountains set the tone for the elegance and sophistication that awaits inside with touches of Disney sprinkled throughout.   

    There are many different recreational activities for Guests of Disney's Riviera Resort to enjoy. The resort features a family-friendly pool area with an exciting pool slide—my kids never miss a chance to try the slides at any resort! Additionally, there's S'il Vous Play, an interactive water play area for children, evening campfire activities, and movies under the stars. Although checking out is never my happiest vacation moment, Disney makes the process seamless. You remain a resort guest until midnight on your checkout day, which is perfect for those with late flights like you. This allows you plenty of time to explore the resort or even relax on a lounger on the balcony overlooking the sparkling Beau Soleil Pool, perhaps with a sweet treat from Le Petit Café in hand. You'll be happy to hear that all Disney resorts have a shower area adjacent to the pools, perfect for freshening up before heading home on a plane. You'll find bathrooms with showers (stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash) and changing facilities near the S'il Vous Play water play area so you can freshen up before leaving Disney's Riviera Resort.

    If you're looking to grab a bite to eat before departing, I highly recommend Primo Piatto, it is one of my favourite Quick Service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. The Margherita pizza is my daughter's go-to with fresh mozzarella and fresh-cut basil - I'm getting hungry thinking about it! Primo Piatto also offers a Grab and Go menu which is great when on the run. 

    Joshua, I hope this information eases any stress you may have about your departure day. Have a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort and like Tiana says: "you're almost there!".
