If I have a late departure flight at the end of my trip, can I go in to the parks for the first part of the day and then return to my on-property hotel after check out time to catch the Magical Express? Will the hotel hold my luggage during that time?

Hello Kimberly, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

I love getting every single minute of magic out of my visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, there are times when I will try to schedule a late departure so I can enjoy one last attraction in the Magic Kingdom. The day before your scheduled departure, you will receive a transportation notice in your room telling you what time Disney's Magical Express will be picking you up. Typically, guests are scheduled for pick up 3-4 hours before their scheduled flights.

I would suggest that you make arrangements with Bell Services the night before to pick up your bags before heading out to a theme park. If you are flying an airline that participates in the Resort Airline Check-In Service, I would suggest that you complete the check-in process before noon so that your checked bags can be taken care of. You can leave any remaining carry-on items with Bell Services and pick them up when you return before your Magical Express pick up. If you are not flying an airline that allows you to utilize Resort Airline Check-In, Bell Services will hold your bags until you are ready to depart. Disney’s Magical Express motorcoach driver will be able to assist in getting your bags loaded on and off the motorcoach for your ride back to Orlando International Airport. Have a magical time.

    See ya real soon,
