Royal greetings, Kathryn!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for stopping by with a fabulous
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It looks like your enchanting escape to The Most Magical Place on Earth is about to begin - how exciting! There's nothing like being welcomed home at a Disney Resort hotel. I'm happy to help you prepare for a splendid stay-cation!
Kathryn, I'll let you in on a little secret... Though most people visit the Walt Disney World Resort for the spectacular theme parks, I could spend an entire trip relaxing at a
Disney Resort hotel without even setting foot in a park! No matter which wonderful resort you'll be checking into today, you're in for an unforgettable time. Though I can't provide a specific answer, I can share that late checkouts are dependent upon availability. I encourage you to speak to the friendly Cast Members at the
Front Desk when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel to let them know you'd like to request a late checkout on your departure day so they're aware of your intentions. Then, on the day of your scheduled departure, visit the Front Desk again to make the official request. In my experience, sometimes late checkouts can be accommodated, and sometimes they cannot. It all depends on Guest room availability and timing.
If the Resort hotel is unable to accommodate a late checkout, I recommend checking your bags with
Bell Services, Kathryn. Then, you'll be free to explore the resort, theme parks, or Disney Springs at your leisure, luggage-free! My family usually leaves our bags with the helpful Cast Members at Bell Services and heads to
Disney Springs on our checkout day. Just make sure that you'll have luggage space for any last-minute souvenirs you might pick up there!
Kathryn, I hope you've found these recommendations helpful and I wish you an incredibly relaxing stay-cation at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions before or during your Walt Disney World Resort arrival, you're always welcome to revisit us here at
planDisney. We're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
