Hey there, Nicole, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
It's always a bummer when you need to cancel a trip - especially when that trip is to The Most Magical Place on Earth. But even the best laid plans can go awry, so let's take a minute to chat about Walt Disney World's cancellation policies.
Nicole, your cancellation options will depend on what your visit entails. If you're a
Walt Disney World Annual Pass Holder and need to cancel a Theme Park Reservation, you can do so at any time, without penalty, through your
My Disney Experience app or through
the Disney World website. If you're referring to a single-day Theme Park Ticket, I'm sorry to say that
these are generally nonrefundable. However, you may be able to change the date of your unused ticket by calling the
Tickets & Hotel Reservations line to speak with a Disney Cast Member.
Now let's talk about Disney World vacation packages. If you need to cancel a Disney World vacation package, your options depend on how far in advance you cancel. According to the 2026
Walt Disney Travel Company Terms & Conditions, you will receive a refund for a trip cancelled 30 days or more before check-in. For cancellations made between 2 and 29 days in advance, you will receive a refund, minus a $200.00 cancellation fee. Unfortunately, packages cancelled one day or less in advance are not eligible for a refund.
I hope this information is helpful, Nicole! When you're ready to reschedule your trip, remember to check out the
Special Offers page to see if you qualify for any promotions or discounts. If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Allison
