last yr i had dining plan with 2adlts, 3 kids and 1 infant (2yr old). when making resv. it is total of 6 w/ an auto % for tip even though our baby wasn't eating. how can i avoid the auto % tip that is for larger parties on this trip?

Hi Amanda, For parties of 6 or more under the same reservation will have to have the automatically applied gratuity, even if one or more in your party is under 3 years old (as you already know from your past trip). The only way to not have this automatic gratuity added to your bill is if you are willing to make 2 separate reservations for the same Dining Experience and your party sits at two different tables. I think most of the servers at WDW work very hard to make your Dining Experience special and if so they deserve their tips and guests deserve to sit together to make magical memories, so this scenario of having to be at different tables in my opinion is not an option if it were my family. you have to decide which option is best for you, I hope you have a wonderful trip this year. Best wishes, Brigitta
