Hello, we have last year's resort refillable mugs. With the new rapid fill mugs, is there a cost savings for me if we bring the mugs to POR and then purchase the number of days we would like to use the mugs for? Thank you!

Hi Wendy!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With the new Rapid Fill mugs, the price per day includes the actual mug.  You will not be able to bring a resort mug from a previous vacation and use it at the soda machines.  The new mugs have an RFID chip in them that needs to be activated for you to be able to use the drink machines.  The refill mugs are included with the purchase of the Disney Dining Plan.  If you don't have the Disney Dining Plan the pricing for the mugs are:

    • $8.99 for 1 day
    • $11.99 for 2 days
    • $14.99 for 3 days
    • $17.99 length of stay

We love using the resort mugs while on vacation at Walt Disney World.  We love to fill up in the morning before we head to the parks and then again when we return for the night.  It also makes a lovely souvenir to take home.

Have a magical vacation.  If I can help you with anything else, let me know.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
