Last year when we went to Disney the kids were given "admission cards" which I still have. I can see them under their names when looking at "my family" on the my experience app. Would they be linked to the new tickets I just got?

    Hiya Victoria,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m in the midst of spring cleaning my house and located my entire stash of MagicBands and admission cards the other day. It was so fun to find that box of memories and reminisce about all the vacations I have gone on with my friends and family.

When you purchase theme park tickets, they are associated with your My Disney Experience account. So the great news is that as long as the admission cards from last year are linked to your children through My Disney Experience, they can continue to use the same admission card trip after trip. You can also request new admission cards or link a MagicBand to your children’s account and use them interchangeably. Since I have an almost three year old whose favorite game is empty mama’s wallet, I often travel with a MagicBand+ and an admission card so that if she happens to be wearing my MagicBand as a bracelet or using my admission card in a game that I can still get into my resort hotel room and access the theme parks using the other one.

I hope this was helpful, Victoria, and you are ready for your upcoming trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Before I let you go, don’t forget to add refillable water bottles, ponchos, and an extra pair of socks to your packing list. Summer at Walt Disney World will be fantastic (especially with all of the Cool Kid Summer excitement this year), but it is still hot and sometimes rainy. I always like to pack a water bottle to keep us hydrated and rain gear for the stray afternoon shower. The rain typically doesn’t last long, so if we can toss on a poncho and brave through the rain, we can maximize our day. Once it stops, we change our socks and are ready to go! Have the most magical time in August, and please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning!
