Last year we took advantage of the free dining and are planning to visit WDW again. This year plan to stay at AKL or WL. My question is last year when they offered the free dining was it only to the Value Resorts or to anyone that booked the MYW package?

Isn't free dining great?  Our last trip as a family was in September of last year and we booked with the free dining code as well.  Last year, the free dining promotion was available (with certain limitations) to guests in all of the resort categories, value up to deluxe.  We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside.

In years past, when the free dining promotion is announced Disney does establish that your vacation must fall within certain travel dates.  Furthermore, it is only available to those paying rack room rates and with the purchase of a Magic Your Way package.  They also clearly state that the promotion is subject to availability, which I am guessing means that it is more readily available in some resorts than others.

Hopefully Disney will run the promotion again this year and you will be able to book a fabulous free dining vacation at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Wilderness Lodge.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!  :)

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
