Welcome to planDisney, Richard! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Dining is my favorite part of a trip to Walt Disney World, and I'm happy to share with you exactly what you need to know in advance of your 60-day reservation window next month.
Good news: this issue has been sorted. Guests in the UK can now make dining reservations online without any extra steps. You can book right in the
My Disney Experience app, which will hand you off to the Walt Disney World website to complete the booking, or you can go directly to the website and reserve there, which many people find to be the quickest and simplest route. And, of course, you can always
call the Dining Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member directly to make your bookings.
I've got another tip for you that's going to be especially helpful if you're staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel: when your 60-day window opens, you can book for the length of your stay, up to 10 nights, in one go. That means you can prioritize the hardest-to-get restaurants for later in your trip first, when availability is usually better, and then circle back to earlier dates. Also, availability loads at 6:00 AM Eastern Time, so being ready right when your window opens gives you the best shot at prime options.
If you don't find what you want right away, don't worry; people are tweaking their plans constantly! Keep checking back in the weeks and days before your visit because last-minute openings pop up more than you'd think. Most table-service spots allow cancellations up to two hours before the reservation, which means same-day spots can appear. On the day of, try the
Walk-Up List in the My Disney Experience app for spontaneous dining, and consider lounges attached to popular restaurants; they serve excellent menus with a relaxed vibe.
I hope this answers your question, Richard, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
