Hello! Last year (2013) Disney offered free dining in the spring. What were the stipulations if any to receive that offer? Did you have to stay at a moderate hotel or higher? Thanks!

    Hello Kathi!

Mmmm, free dining. It is one of my favorite special offers. The past couple of years, the free dining promotion has changed a little each time Disney offers it. During the most recent offer, some Disney Resort hotels were excluded which have not been in the past, like Disney's Port Orleans Resorts. You usually have to purchase at least a 2-night package, and the Disney Dining Plan was offered with stays at Disney Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts. The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan was offered with packages at a Disney Value Resort with the option to upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan by paying the price difference.

While those have been the guidelines in the past, there is no guarantee on the details of future offers. We can always hope for pixie-dusted delicious offers. I suggest keeping an eye on the Special Offers page for the one that works best for your family and your vacation dates.

If you have any other questions, please come back and see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a magical vacation!
