Christine,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. You've come to the right place and it is my pleasure to help you with my recommendations. Dining is one of my favorite things to do in the parks and resorts. Being from Texas, I, too, love Mexican food. San Angel Inn (the one you have dined at) blends the delicious flavors of Mexico with the unique atmosphere of dining at the base of Mayan ruins at night while watching hearing the festive sounds of mariachi music occasionally linger throughout the space.
Another fantastic option is just across the way at
La Hacienda de San Angel. It sits waterfront to the World Showcase Lagoon. This restaurant is only open for dinner (beginning at 4pm) and offers mouthwatering selections such as queso fundido as an appetizer and entrees such as roasted shrimp, red snapper, or a taco trio that is amazing! The restaurant has a fantastic view of the lagoon from it large arched windows and is adorned with colorful tiles and art from around Mexico.
If you are still looking for somewhere else to dine on Mexican food without being in Epcot,
Maya Grill at Coronado Springs Resort is a wonderful alternative. It blends the flavors of Mexico and the Southwest United States with its delicious Tex-Mex offerings. The Arrachera is delicious and the shrimp tacos are sublime. Don't forget to save room for their coconut flan.
Bon Appétit,
