I last visited three years ago with my daughter. We both had wristbands with five days remaining on my account. My daughter is visiting with her boyfriend and wants to have their own account and have her tickets / band on that. How do I release this?

    Hi Vicky, welcome to planDisney!

When you and your daughter visited Walt Disney World Resort three years ago, it sounds like you were managing her My Disney Experience profile on your account. Let's confirm this online by taking a look at your Family and Friends list. You likely see "plans managed by me" next to your daughter's name. Here are the steps to take to make sure the vacation entitlements (ticket, MagicBand, etc) linked to her profile on your account transfer to a separate account:

    1. Have your daughter create a new My Disney Experience account.
    2. In your account, access your Family and Friends list and click "Update" next to your daughter's name.
    3. Click "Share Planning with [daughter's name]" that appears in blue letters in the top right of the information update box.
    4. Enter the email address associated with your daughter's newly created account and click "Continue." This will send an invitation to connect to your daughter's inbox. Once the invitation is accepted, all of the vacation entitlements housed under your account will automagically transfer to her account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends.

Please remind your daughter that valid admission, a theme park reservation for each park day, and a method of entry (MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry.

It's always an exciting, magical time when a fairy gets her wings. It's a similarly exciting time when a child is ready to spread their wings and plan their own Walt Disney World Resort vacation. ChEARS to you, mama, on raising her in the magic!

I hope you and your daughter will continue reaching out to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions. Mother-daughter trips are my specialty <<wink wink>>.

    Choose magic,
    Jennifer
