Since our last visit, we have found out that our 5 year old has a severe peanut AND tree nut allergy. I've read about dining options for restaurants and sit down meals. We have already noted this in our character meal but what about quick service meals?

    Hi Julia!!

As a fellow food allergy sufferer, I can understand your concerns, and I want to share a couple of things with you as far as Table Service meals are concerned.  Make sure that the server talks to you about the allergy (as it should be noted on your seating card).  If they don't--make sure you say something.  The Chef will personally come out to your table and discuss your child's allergy and discuss safe options, and explain the preparation precautions.  At a buffet, they will go through all the safe dining options with you (they've walked me through the buffets to answer any questions as well).

For Quick Service dining options, head to a cashier and explain to them that you have a food allergy in your party.  They will bring out the manager, and they'll go over all the dining options, and preparation precautions that will take place for the meal.

With all food allergy issues, I also like to remind parents to be sure to pack your child's EpiPen, if they require one, in case of accidental exposure.

    Have a magical vacation!
