Are the last two weeks of August a good time to go to WDW? Are the crowds okay? What is the weather like? Thank you

Hello Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family has visited Walt Disney World Resort during the final 2 weeks of August for the last 4 years and plan to continue the tradition.

With Florida schools starting up again mid-August, the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks and Disney Springs tend to be a little less crowded during weekdays in the Theme Parks and Disney Springs. This year, I found that Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park and Magic Kingdom were still relatively busy at that time, but for Canadians with school-age children, it is the best time to visit without missing school.

However, my family and I all agree to accept the Florida heat in late August as a trade-off for the lesser crowds. It can be incredibly hot and uncomfortable during the final 2 weeks of August. This may be a deal-breaker if heat is an issue.

The second best time to visit during scheduled school closures is March Break. The weather is generally more comfortable than late August, however, I find Flights from Ontario to be incredibly overpriced around March Break when compared to flights in late August.

Be sure to look into the Special Offer that is currently available to Canadian Residents for Theme Park Admission for your next visit!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
