Hi !! Our last trip to WDW was 3 years ago and I’m worried our magic bands batteries haven’t survived . Since we are Canadian and accompanying my husband on his Orlando business trip in December, how can we get new bands and sync them to our tickets?

    Hi Michelle,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

Believe it or not, if your MagicBands are still listed as “active” in your My Disney Experience account, there’s a chance that they may still work during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort this December.

That being said, if you want to purchase new ones to make sure that everything works as “automagically” as possible, you don’t need to purchase new MagicBands before you arrive in the Central Florida area.  You can either purchase a solid colour MagicBand at Guest Relations when you pick up your Theme Park Tickets or you can also buy specialty MagicBands at a merchandising location at any of the Theme Parks or Disney Springs. The Cast Member who will help you with your purchase should be able to help you link it to your My Disney Experience account and then you’ll be good to go.

Don’t forget to purchase your Theme Park Tickets before you leave if you want to take advantage of the special Canadian Resident ticket offer!

I hope my answer helps make your December trip run smoothly. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,
