On our last trip we stayed at Coronado Springs Resort. We were planning on staying their again but want to be closer to the action. Is the cabanas section of this resort regular or preferred rooms? Also, what is the order of the bus pick up and drop off.

Hi there Nancy, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with another great question.

I have always loved Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for its incredible theming, efficient bus transportation, and central location. Recent additions like Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago and extra walking routes across Lago Dorado give the resort a touch of added luxury and convenience. There's a whole new world of things to see here these days, and I'm so glad you're planning another stay at this idyllic retreat!

On a recent stay, my room was located in the Ranchos neighborhood, and while we appreciated the tranquil setting, we did have quite a hike to El Centro. Fortunately, there are several standard view rooms located in the Cabanas section that would land you just steps away from the main building and dining locations. When completing online check-in, I suggest making Cabanas your only request for your best chance of having your wish granted. While the Cast Members don't have the same all-powerful magic as Aladdin's Genie, I find they do their best to meet Guests' needs.

No matter where you end up staying, you won't need a magic carpet to reach the action quickly. To save time and rest your legs, step outside your room, board a bus headed to any theme park and hop off at the final stop before leaving the resort, located adjacent to the Gran Destino Tower and main lobby.

Speaking of transportation, you'll find that the buses at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort usually make their way around in the following order: Casitas, Ranchos, Cabanas, Gran Destino Tower/Main Lobby. Guests staying in the Casitas section are the first to be picked up and dropped off.  The Casitas section is home to some standard view rooms, and this would be a good request to consider making if you want to combine proximity to the main building and with priority boarding for the theme park buses.

Nancy, I hope this has been helpful. As you continue to dream about your upcoming getaway, check out the Disney Parks Blog and follow planDisney on social media to help pass the time until your adventure begins. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
