Last trip my SIL booked everything and it was fine except she was the only one who could book dinners/rides/etc for the 3 families. Gma wants me to do it now. I don't really understand the linking thing and am having trouble finding more information.

Hey Howdy Hey Erica and welcome to planDisney!

Any visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is one for the whole family. There are so many multi-generational appropriate attractions, great dining options and just the fact that you are stepping into a world of the movies we love is an experience to be shared. With the advancement of technology, this experience should be easy to set up with a little know-how. Thank you for stopping by with your question about linking your whole party together. I will be happy to walk you through the steps to get everyone on the same page.

The first thing you are going to want to do Erica, is log onto your My Disney Experience account and go to the "My Family & Friends" section. Once there, take a look at all the members that are currently linked to your account. These members have the potential to link them to certain reservations and experiences as you make them. If you notice someone in your party who is going but not on the list, look at the top right, you should see a button "Add a Guest". Click on that button and follow the prompts to search for and get the remaining Guests to your list.

Next, you are going to want to go through each member on your list and click on the "Settings" button. After you click on "Settings", make sure the top two options, "Allow (family member name) to view all of your plans" and "Allow (family member name) to view all of your Disney PhotoPass photos", are both green. This will allow you to link the members to the right reservations and allow them to see what you have linked them to.

Your next step is booking the reservations and linking appropriately. When you are making dining reservations, this is usually one of the steps to select the number of Guests in your party and an option to link members on your list to this reservation. You can also go back after you make a dining reservation under "Modify Reservation" to update your Guest list and link appropriate members of your travel party.

As long as you all are connected, when you are in the parks, if you want to purchase Genie+ or make Lightning Lane selections, this is also super easy to make selections for members of your party. When purchasing Genie+, you will be asked which members you want to purchase this benefit for. If you are the one making the Lightning Lane selections, you will also be asked which members that have purchased Genie+ you would like to make the Lightning Lane selections for. Super easy!

I hope that did help demystify the process a little bit. Once you get the hang of it, it is really easy to use. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out as we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
