Hiya, Jill! Welcome to planDisney. I am happy to meet you here with your question about your son's
MyDisney account.
As I grew up going to
Walt Disney World Resort, I am really enjoying my sons growing up with Disney, too. It truly is a magical place for kids of all ages.
I recently converted their accounts, and it is super easy!
On your
My Family & Friends page, find his profile and select "Settings." Click the "Share Planning With..." link, and it will open a panel for you to add your son's email address. This will trigger an email to him. Once he opens it and accepts the invitation to manage his account, it will be his.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! Any theme park tickets and MagicBands he has linked to him on the account will
automagically stay intact under the one he now manages.
You can also do this on the My Disney Experience app. Open the main menu (the "≡") and scroll to "Account." Select "Profile" and the "Family & Friends List" tab. When you open your son's profile, you will see a "Send Email" link. Add his email and the process follows just like the web-based option.
You will still be connected as Family & Friends and can plan together, like creating Boarding Groups for
Virtual Queues, purchasing and selecting attractions to speed through the parks with
Lightning Lane passes, and sharing
Disney PhotoPass pictures.
If you have any other questions, please come back to
planDisney. We're here to help you as you create a lifetime of magical memories.
Thinking of the Happiest Things!
