The last time I went to WDW I was ten and me & my brother loved playing in the bone yard at AK and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play yard at HS. Is there anywhere at MK & Epcot that my son can play for an hour or two like that?

    Hi there Holly,

I am mom to a 5 year old princess and I totally understand where you're coming from!  Those children's play areas can be a saving grace in the middle of the day when the little ones just need to run around to burn off some energy!  My daughter loves the themed play areas almost as much as the actual attractions!

I am pleased to report that there is the all-new Casey Jr. Water Play Area in the New Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom!  This immersive, themed play area is located in Storybook Circus and is sure to provide your son with lots to keep him busy!

While in New Fantasyland, you'll also want to check out the new Dumbo attraction, where the queue line is transformed into an interactive play area unlike any other!  Once inside the Circus tent, your son will have the opportunity to "star" in the show while you wait with a pager, to board Dumbo!

If you're in Frontierland, there is also a small play area near the exit to Splash Mountain!

My favorite play area in Epcot is near the Mission Space attraction, but it is not themed like the ones in Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios!  I always like to let my daughter run around in Innoventions when she needs a break!  There's so much to see and do inside those buildings!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
