last time we went to WDW I only remember the buses dropping off at the Marketplace. If we get off there can we walk to Planet Hollywood? and is this a great place to eat? Last time we ate at Rainforest Cafe and loved it but wanted to try something differen

    Hi Kory,

There is a lot of changes happening in Downtown Disney right now.  They have closed the nightclubs to open space for more shopping and restaurants, but everything else including Planet Hollywood is still open for business.  There are two pick-up/drop off locations in Downtown Disney when using bus transportation from the WDW Resorts.  One is the Marketplace location and the other stop is at Pleasure Island.

I really like Planet Hollywood and the different food choices there (my favorite is the Beef Dip....yummmmy!).  It is a large restaurant with many different floors (each having a different theme), but all levels overlook one main center area where they have a DJ playing music, etc..  The only thing to know before you go, is that it is very loud and some younger children may be sensitive to the noise (my daughter isn't now, but she was when she was 4 years old).

It is nice to have change and although I do like Planet Hollywood, I would have a hard time choosing that over Rainforest Café if I had to choose one now.  If you have never been to Planet Hollywood I think you should go and experience it at least once.  I did and glad I did it, but my future trips are spent at Rainforest Café if I had to pick between the two (and couldn't go to both).  I hope this helps you to make your decision.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
