The last time we went to Disney World was in 2006, just before we startet with IVF to get a baby. Everytime we went to see Wishes or we met the Fairy Godmother it was our only wish..... Now are a familywithg a son- what would you suggest for a celebration

Oh my goodness Mirjam, your story brought tears to my eyes in just a few sentences. What a wonderful wish to come true! Congratulations on your son - how perfect to celebrate in Walt Disney World!

I am not sure how old your son is or what time of year you are planning on visiting, but I will give you a few ideas that I would do with my family.

First of all, when you visit any Guest Relations location, you can get a button that says "I'm Celebrating" so everyone knows you are there for something special. Cast members will probably ask what you are celebrating and you can share your story with them if you like. You can also get your son a "1st Visit" button and that'll get noticed too.

If it's available during your visit, I'd look into a Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom. Right now, Wishes is about to make way for the new Summer Nightastic Fireworks Spectacular, but the Dessert Party will still be going on select dates during that time. You can call 407-WDW-DINE to inquire about the dates you'll be there. That will ensure you have a great spot to view the fireworks and remember the wish you made and how it came true.

Lastly, I would just try to make a new tradition for your new family. Whether it's watching a certain parade, or dropping a penny in the Wishing Well by Cinderella Castle, or going on a certain attraction first, getting a picture with a certain character -- make that your new memory to take home with you and re-create on your prior visits as your son grows.

I hope you have a completely magical trip and thank you for sharing your story here with us, it really made my day! If you have any other questions or need specific ideas for planning, come visit us again! ~Suzannah
