The last time we visited WDW, we could book FastPass reservations for rides in advance. Now that they have changed to Genie+, is there a way to purchase it in advance and made reservations for attractions for our upcoming trip?

    Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for coming to planDisney with your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions!

Disney Genie+ Service is available for purchase on the day of your theme park visit. Then, you will be able to use Disney Genie+ Service to make your first Lightening Lane selection at 7:00 a.m. on the day of your visit. Some guests choose to stay up late at night and purchase Disney Genie+ Service at 12:01 a.m. on the day of their visit. I have found this not to be necessary, and as an early riser, I prefer to wake up a little early, pour my first cup of coffee, and purchase Disney Genie+ Service while on my Disney Resort Hotel balcony. Then I am ready to make that first Lightening Lane selection at 7:00 a.m.!

You can reference these step-by-step directions for purchasing Disney Genie+ Service. This can be easily done using the My Disney Experience App. Please do note that you will need theme park reservations for the day that you are purchasing Disney Genie+ Service.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Elizabeth! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
