Jambo, Jodi, and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that you'll be spending today in my favorite spot in all of Walt Disney World Resort,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park! Since you're already in the middle of the magic, there's no time to waste, so let's get right to your question...or as they say on the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, 'Twende!' Let's go!
My husband and I have been known to enjoy
Kilimanjaro Safaris twice in a single day. Having spent a fair amount of time in that particular corner of the theme park, I've noticed that some days the attraction features signage just before the entrance to the queue indicating the time of the final safari departure of the day if it differs from the standard theme park hours. I just checked the My Disney Experience mobile app, and it lists the attraction's hours for today as 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM which are the same as the theme park's
announced hours. While I was unable to receive a confirmation whether or not an attraction's adjusted hours would be updated in the app, previous experience leads me to believe this would be the case.
If you would like to be sure, I suggest checking one of the digital tip boards displaying wait times throughout the theme park or inquiring with an Animal Kingdom Theme Park Cast Member directly to see if they have any insight before you make your way to the back of the theme park. Of course, I could watch the meerkats and hippos of
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail all day, so I never consider any time spent in Africa wasted.
I hope this was helpful, Jodi, and that you get to see the big cats in action during your safari. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to stop back by.
I'm always happy to help!
Hakuna Matata,
Lizzie
