The last time I was staying at the Grand Floridian I saw a pirate ship full of little boys dressed pull up on the shore next to the pool. Do you know the name of this Pirate adventure? How much does it cost? Where can I find out more about it? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

Ahoy matey!  There are several pirate adventures that depart from different resorts throughout Walt Disney World.  The one that leaves from the Grand Floridian is called (appropriately enough) Disney's Pirate Adventure.

Children aged 4-12 can go on a two hour pirate cruise where they sail Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake hunting for treasure and learning how to be a pirate.  Kids really enjoy this adventure, and (bonus) it gives parents some time to relax by the pool or do some leisurely shopping.  The cost is around $35 and includes lunch.

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
