The last time we stayed at Coronado Springs was several years ago, and the hot tub next to the main swimming pool was still closed because of the pandemic. Is it now open? Thanks, Ed 25 days til WDW?

Hiya, Edward! Welcome back to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by with another vacation planning question, Edward. We’re happy to see you again in our happy little corner of the Internet! Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is one of my all-time favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. You’ve made a great choice!

To answer your question, Edward, I can confirm that the hot tub at the Dig Site is open as of this writing. The Dig Site is the resort’s themed pool area. It’s actually the largest hot tub on all of Walt Disney World Resort property, with room for up to 22 Guests! While at the Dig Site, make sure to take a dip in the Lost City of Cibola pool, which features a massive 50-foot pyramid. It also has a 123-foot-long waterslide! My family and I stayed here a few months ago, and we had a blast splashing around the Dig Site.

While you’re at the resort, I highly recommend stopping by Rix Sports Bar & Grill for the Chicken & Mickey Waffles. The dish comes with Mickey churro waffles topped with crispy chicken tenders. If you’ve never tried Mickey churro waffles before, I am confident that you will love them! Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago is also worth a visit. This is one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World. It’s in a beautiful setting, quite literally at the intersection of three bridges over Lago Dorado.

I hope you have a wonderful stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Edward. If you have any other questions as your vacation approaches, come on back to see us here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help!

    See you real soon!
