    Last time family was at DW (long time ago) reservations were easy to get for that day. I even remember a video phone to make reservations on. With the new DDP are same day reservations hard to get? Have one for CRT but what if we want something else also?

    Same day reservations are possible depending on whether you are visiting during a peak or off peak time of year.  I will tell you that I have traveled off peak and found myself unable to get any reservations for a sit down dinner.  If you don't have a reservation you may be able to wait standby.  Basically you wait and see if someone doesn't show up for their reservation.  The last time we did this we waited 60+ minutes.

    I would highly recommend making dining reservations as far in advance as you can.  If you call the same day just understand that you may have to eat dinner at 4:30 or 7:30 as the popular meal times get booked first.  You also may not be able to eat at your first choice restaurant.  

    There is not a video phone for reservations, but you can make reservations from any restaurant podium for any restaurant in WDW.  You can also make them from your resort room or by calling 407.WDW.DINE.
