Hello! The last time my family & I were at Disneyland we were able to enter through the exit & not have to wait in line because of my wheelchair. My understanding is that they no longer do that. Can anyone tell me what to expect or give any advice?

    Hi Darlene!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love helping other New Mexico families plan trips to the Happiest Place on Earth. The Disneyland Resort is more accommodating than ever when it comes to services for Guests with disabilities. For Guests like yourself with mobility disabilities, there are a few types of access scenarios for different attractions to ensure a visit that's as carefree and magical as possible.

For all attractions I advise you first speak to the Cast Member at each attraction entrance to go over the needs for that specific attraction. In Disney California Adventure Park, many attraction queues are wide enough that you can enter through the standby line and remain in your wheelchair until you reach the attraction. In Disneyland Park, the queues are more narrow and Cast Members may advise you to use an alternate entrance (such as the exit) or give you a return time so you do not have to physically wait in line. Some attractions you can even board while still in your wheelchair like The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, the alternate viewing experience for Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Toy Story Midway Mania, and the Disneyland Railroad to name a few. If you need to rent a wheelchair while on Disneyland Resort property, you can do so to the right of the entrance of Disneyland Park. Since these are limited, I recommend heading there early in the day.

Don't forget if you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel as well as parking at these hotels or the theme park lots that accessible options are available.

I hope this was helpful, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a magical day!
