Hey there, Janet, and welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you enjoy the hotel Campfires and even more excited that you brought up this delicious question because I have not seen hot dogs roasted at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels in years.
I made several phone calls to Guest Services and they contacted Disney Recreation Services to check on the current campfire food roasting policy and, as of now, Guests may only roast marshmallows at Disney Resorts Collections Hotel
Campfires. While hot dogs may have been allowed in the past, as of today, they may only be cooked by Guests on grills such as those at
The Campsites and
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort's Dunes Cove. When you arrive at your hotel call or visit the front desk to get a Recreation Calendar to check the exact time when the Campfires will take place as it varies through the year and to verify if hot dogs are still prohibited. The policy could change at any moment. The Campfire experience usually finishes up in time for
Movies Under the Stars.
There is one place where you can roast hot dogs over an open flame and get a nice show out of it too.
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is complimentary to all Guests. You will need to bring your hot dogs and roasting supplies while S'more kits may be purchased from
The Chuck Wagon.
Janet, enjoy every last roasted morsel at your next Disney Resorts Collection hotel Campfire regardless of whatever you can cook. Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
