The last time at Disney we stayed at the Grand Floridian. This time we are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. I am 71 and in excellent health, my wife is disabled. Our grandchildren 4 and 1 and their parents are going. Will we be disappointed?

    Hi Barry!

I've stayed at almost every Walt Disney World Resort, and I have to say I haven't been disappointed in a single one - they are all so different. I think you are in for a treat. Out of all the Walt Disney World Resorts, Disney's Caribbean Beach is my absolute favorite and my go-to pretty much anytime I head down to the Parks!

The resort itself is simply paradise! Lush foliage, white sandy beaches with hammocks (that my husband has been known to fall asleep in multiple times!) and calypso music playing everywhere you go - it truly couldn't get any better! And you're in luck, Old Port Royale has just recently finished all of it's renovations so the Centertown Market (food court) is better than ever.  You'll be able to start your day off with a Caribbean inspired dishes such as strawberry guava french toast and pineapple banana pancakes.  If you are looking for a sit down meal for dinner, the newly opened Sebastian's Bistro will only be steps away from your resort room.  Might I suggest at least popping in to try the Caribbean Pull Apart Rolls served with Guava Butter, Mango Chutney and Jamaican Jerk Oil. They are so good!  I also don't think you'll find a better pool on Walt Disney World property to fit your needs for this vacation.  The main pool, the Fuentes del Morrow swimming pool, is a zero entry pool which is perfect when traveling with small children and Guests that might need a little extra assistance.  This pool features 2 thrilling waterslides, water cannons and some pretty cool lookout towers that kids can't seem to get enough of.  Also, in this area, you'll find a kiddie play zone that has mini waterslides, a crow's nest and a barrel of water that might topple at any moment!

Hopefully this helps get you a little more excited for your stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
