The last time i was at Disney, you had to arrive early to make a reservation for the Star Wars ride. Is that still the case?

Hi there, Steven. Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney with your question for us. I bet you’re looking forward to your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

The magic and excitement continue to be found at the Disneyland Resort. However, there are some slight changes with park operations in response to the pandemic. I’m happy to report that you do not need to physically be inside the theme park to join virtual queues at 7 AM. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland Park and the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure utilize virtual queues for boarding groups. There are two opportunities each day to join the virtual queues.

If you have a one park per day ticket and you’ll be in Disneyland Park, Steven, you can join Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at 7 AM before you even arrive. If you’re unable to join a boarding group at 7 AM, you can try for another chance at 12 PM once you’re inside the park.

For Park Hopper tickets, if you start out in Disneyland Park as your first park to visit, you can try joining the virtual queue at 7 AM before arrival. Conversely, if you start your Park Hopper day at Disney California Adventure Park, you can check back on the Disneyland mobile app to join the virtual queue at 12 PM.

I hope this helps as you continue planning your upcoming trip. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again. We’re all EARS and excited to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
