Hi, Susan!
The
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is active fun for little Wilderness Explorers and their parents, especially if they’re fans of Russell and Dug from the film
Up. Using a map of the entire two-acre interactive play area, kids can earn six different badges while exploring forest paths, climbing rocks, swinging on rope bridges and racing down slides. It’s not a guided adventure, and Guests are free to explore the trail in any order they wish, but there are park rangers available throughout the area to help with navigating the trail. Guests of all heights are able to enter the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, but there are certain activities—such as the Sequoia Smokejumpers Training Tower (zip line) and Cliff Hanger Traverse Rock Climb—that have minimum height requirements.
The Senior Wilderness Explorer Ceremony is held at the Ahwahnee Camp Circle with the help of Russell, and kids are invited to participate after collecting their Wilderness Explorer badges. The ceremony takes place several times throughout the day. Check out the daily
Entertainment Schedule or the Entertainment Times Guide upon arriving at
Disney California Adventure Park for show times.
I hope you and your family enjoy the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Susan, and remember… “Adventure is out there!”
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
