Hi The last post about available rooms with separate sleeping area was in 2021, please can you advise if there are any further hotels that offer separate sleeping areas? We are currently booked in a Port Orleans Riverside for 14th May.

    Hello, Laura!

Welcome to planDisney, I’ll be more than happy to provide options on Disney Resorts with different sleeping areas. The large selection of Disney Resorts is an added perk to visiting Walt Disney World. My family loves staying in the magic and enjoying all the additional benefits that come with booking a Disney Resort.

There have been times when we’ve traveled with a larger group so some additional space was needed. We ended up selecting Art of Animation. There you can find family-style suites that offer more space and spread out sleeping arrangements. You can also find a similar style room at All-Star Music Resort. I recommend taking a look at the photos under the family suites tab to see if that is more of the style you are looking for.

If your current reservation is for a 5th sleeper, then the two options I’ve mentioned above will give you a little more room to spread out. Not everyone will have to remain in that one spot to sleep. Although, depending on your family’s vacation needs, it’s still a great resort! My family is an “in the parks” family. So we usually book a basic room and splurge in the parks! Things like Character dining and extra souvenirs are where our budget goes. Plus, an added perk to your existing resort is that you are a short walk away from one of my favorite Mickey-shaped treats, beignets.

Laura, I hope this helps guide you towards larger sleeping accommodations. If you are looking for any other specific resort requirements feel free to ask away, we’re all more than happy to help you find your perfect fit.

    Sleep tight,

    Shantel

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
