Last Nov., during our visit to the MK, my son pulled the sword out of the "Sword and the Stone" statue. We will be visiting again this November and all he keeps talking about is doing it again. Is there a way this can be arranged so he's not disappointed?

    Hi Haleigh!

The Sword and the Stone continues to be a nice (and often overlooked) attraction in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. Your son was definitely one of the Worthy One's, as he successfully was able to pull the sword up. I've tried it many times, all with no success :-(

Unfortunately, pulling the sword up isn't a guaranteed thing. For some, it works. For many more, it doesn't. Disney and their Imagineers always add a little mystique to many of their attractions, and this one is no exception. I presume there's a random algorithm that releases it periodically, but at minimum, it does make for a great photo opportunity.

So, hopefully your son will have repeat success this year, and become the "ruler of England" once again. Or at least you'll have great pictures as he tries to do it again :-)

    Good Luck!
