Hi, Denise!
I’m excited to hear that you’re planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort during the Halloween season! There is so much spooktacular magic in the theme parks that time of year, including
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park. I love that all party attendees are allowed to wear costumes (even adults!) and there is trick-or-treating fun for everyone available throughout the park.
There are 34 parties scheduled on select nights during August, September and October of this year. The final date it will be offered in 2018 is October 31, Halloween night. Separate tickets (aside from regular park admission) are required for this event, and they are
available for purchase online now.
In my experience, Christmas decorations begin popping up around the resort the first week of November, sometimes as soon as the last Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ends! You’ll probably be amazed by how quickly the transition to a winter wonderland takes place, especially in Magic Kingdom Park as preparations are made for
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to begin on select nights during the second week of November. Not all of the Disney Resort Hotels will have full Christmas decorations finished that first week, but by mid-November, almost everything will be complete.
I hope this information helps you, Denise. Please write back with more questions as you continue planning your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
