Still planning..debating for our last night between taking bus from AK straight to mickey's bbq.. or to whispering canyon and chip and dale campfire. thoughts? if we do bbq is there somewhere we could watch fireworks from after before heading back to ASMo

    Hi Jessica!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like your last night at Walt Disney World Resort is going to be magical!  Both options are a great choice, so I am sure you will be happy with whatever choice you make.  It depends on what kind of experience you would like with your family as your last "Disney Memory" for this trip.

If you are looking for character experiences and high energy, down home country fun, I would suggest going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ.  There is music, dancing and a great all you care to eat BBQ.  I would advise that my daughter is four and the character dancing was a bit overwhelming for her as the bigger kids tended to be a little more insistent and my little Princess was easily pushed to the side.

On the other hand, if you would like to be a little more low key on your last day, enjoy a fun meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe and then relax with your family at the Chip and Dale Campfire.  This will give you the fun feeling of the BBQ (without the characters) at dinner followed by some time with your family to reflect on what a great time you had over the course of your stay at Walt Disney World.

If you would like to watch Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, I would recommend the beach or the boat launch at Fort Wilderness Campground.  You may not see all of the fireworks, but you will definitely see the higher ones!

I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming vacation Jessica!  Please let us know if you have any other questions.
