Hi, Thomas! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for visiting us with your question.
If it is time to check in for your Disney Cruise, it won't be long till you are saying "goodbye" to land and "hello" to an adventure at sea! How exciting for you and your sailing crew. I'm happy to share that you are on the correct path for your kids to enjoy the youth and teen spaces on the ship. For guests ages 13 to 17, there are no additional registration requirements for
Edge or
Vibe.
I do recommend that you visit Vibe with your 16-year-old on the first day of your sailing. There will be an
Open House scheduled for at least a portion of the day. This is a time that guests of any age can come and check out the youth spaces. You can say hello to the Counselors and ask any questions you might have. If your child is especially social, you might encourage them to check the schedule for the first evening onboard. There are usually "getting to know you" games and an opportunity to make friends right away.
All scheduled activities for both
Disney's Oceaneer Club and Vibe can be viewed within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard the ship. If you see something you don't want to miss, click the heart icon next to the listing and the app can send a reminder about fifteen minutes before the fun will begin.
I hope you and your crew have an amazing time! Please sail back to planDisney again someday. My pals and I love to help our fellow guests.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
