We have a very last minute week long trip planned to Disney world this month. Obviously certain reservations were impossible to get! We are a party of 5 and were really hoping to dine at Akershus. Is it possible to dine there without a reservation?

    Hi Tania!

I love the way you think. Last minute trips are so much fun! You may not have had the advantage of planning ahead, but in my experience it's fun to enjoy the parks in a different way.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Epcot World Showcase is a popular dining spot, but you never know when someone will cancel their reservation time. The more flexible you can be with your schedule, the better chances you will have at snagging a coveted reservation. For instance, if you are wiling to eat a late lunch or early dinner, you might just find something.

This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner so if you don't see any availability online, I suggest stopping by early in the day to inquire about any openings for the rest of that day. Guests with reservations have until 24 hours prior to their reservation time to cancel without a penalty, so don't give up!

If you wind up looking for a backup plan, check out the fabulous Outdoor Kitchens of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival for a delightful selection of delicious treats.

Thank you for visiting with your question. I am wishing on a star for you, Tania. Enjoy your magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
