Last minute Food and Wine trip to see Hanson, any tips to get a good seat without getting the dining package seating? Can we bring in food and drinks?

Welcome to planDisney, Rory! I am so excited that you landed here with your question today because Hanson is my favorite band of all time, and I'm so thrilled to hear that you're planning a trip to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival to see them at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. I even made sure to talk about them on the latest episode of the planDisney Podcast! This will be a Hanson concert unlike any you've ever experienced, in an intimate venue where every seat is a great seat, so let's chat about the best way to get in if you don't want to reserve an Eat to the Beat Dining Package.

Rory, I have been seeing Hanson regularly since 1997, and the rule of thumb for any of their concerts is to get there early. They are one of the more popular acts at Eat to the Beat, so that line does begin to form early. I recommend spending the day at EPCOT, and when you see the line start to form at the America Gardens Theater, jump in. Food and beverages are allowed in the line as well as in the Theater, so you can stay fed and hydrated when you're waiting. There are three shows every night at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM, so you have several chances to get in and get a seat. The performance takes place in an open-air theater, so even if you don't make it in right away, you will be able to hear and see every set from outside the venue. There are lots of great places to stand where you'll be able to catch the show if you aren't able to get inside!

All that said, Rory, the only way to guarantee yourself a seat for the show is with the Eat to the Beat Dining Package. There are packages available at eight different EPCOT restaurants, including at one of the Quick-Service dining locations! I recommend lunch at Spice Road Table, where you'll be able to choose two small plates and share a dessert platter with your party. It's reasonably priced, not too heavy, and will get you a guaranteed spot to enjoy the show!

    Have a magical day, Rory!
