Hi there, David. Welcome to planDisney. It's great to have you stop by as you plan for a vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line.
While I certainly hope your future cruise plans will be smooth sailing and full steam ahead, I understand the need to be prepared if something unexpected happens. With the nature of cruise travel and
booking terms and conditions, cancellation fees will begin to apply the closer you get to your sail date. To protect your vacation investment, I highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. Disney Cruise Line offers a
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan, which can be added to your cruise fare before the final payment date or the date any charges on the reservation become non-refundable, whichever is earlier.
You are also welcome to purchase a travel insurance plan independently. There are several options to choose from, each with different terms that might appeal to your specific needs. I think the peace of mind that comes with travel insurance is worth the cost.
David, if you have a flight delay or other concerns on your day of travel,
please call Disney Cruise Line for assistance. The dedicated agents will do their best to assist you.
Now that we've planned for the worst, please cruise back to us with more questions so we can help you have the BEST vacation ever!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
