What is the last day to do check in prior to my Disney Cruise?

    Hi there, Emily,

If your Disney cruise is "just around the river bend," I'm guessing you are feeling both excited and maybe a little nervous about the last few items of preparation before you are ready to see where magic meets the sea.

Online check-in for a Disney Cruise begins 30 days before the sail date for first-time Disney Cruise Line Guests. For returning members of the Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club, it begins between 33 days and 40 days before sailing, depending on member level. Online check-in may be completed any time up to one day prior to the sail date.

Tony's Tip: I recommend completing online check-in as early as you can. That will allow you a better chance of choosing your preferred Port Arrival Time as well as give you peace-of-mind that everything is "practically perfect in every way" before heading to the port. If you don't have an opportunity to complete online check-in before your sail date, you will be able to complete check-in in person at the cruise ship terminal after 2:00 PM on embarkation day.

Items to gather as you prepare for online check-in include:

    • Personal information for each member of your party
    • Images of documentation of citizenship for each member of your party
    • Photos of each member of your party (separate, front-facing photos for each member of your party from their shoulders up, different from their passport or other ID, clearly showing their faces, with a plain background)
    • Details of a friend or family member who could be contacted in an emergency
    • Important details about your travel plans before and after your cruise
    • A credit card for your onboard account

Here is additional information about check-in and documentation of citizenship.

If you see the line where the sky meets the sea and it calls you too, Emily, we here at planDisney will be right there with you as you continue to get ready. Please reach out again if you have any more questions about your upcoming Disney cruise.

    Have a great vacation, Emily!
