on our last day do we check out of the hotel while we are leaving to go to the parks (4N/5D) or do we check out of our hotel after we've come back from the parks

    Hi Jamie,

Unless you plan to be back from the theme parks before 11 am on your day of departure, the wise thing to do would be to check out before you leave for the parks for the day.  If you don't have a car, you are welcome to leave your luggage with Bell Services at your resort until whatever time you return from the theme parks that day.  However, you must vacate your resort room by 11 am.

Keep in mind that checking out of a Disney resort is very easy.  If you leave a credit card on file when you check in, you don't even need to stop by the front desk when you leave.  A detailed list of all charges associated with your room will be delivered to your room early in the morning on your day of departure.  If you find no problems with that list, you can simply vacate the room by check-out time.  I often call the front desk to let them know when I'm leaving so that "mousekeeping" can get the room ready for the next guest who will enjoy it, but that is certainly not required.

I hope you and your family have a truly magical Walt Disney World vacation.  Be sure to let us know if you have additional questions with which we can assist you.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
