    Hello from Las Vegas!! I was wondering if after the the first year of a race(avengers) they add a 10k so that all races are offered??

    I've been patiently waiting to answer your question so I could give you this information as soon as it went public. Announced just today, the Captain America 10K and Infinity Gauntlet Challenge have been added to the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland® Resort. 

    I can't really say how they determine when a 10K will be added to a race weekend, while the inaugural Avengers race did not offer one, the inaugural Stars Wars race did. I'm guessing it has to do with anticipated demand. The very first runDisney 10K wasn't introduced until 2013 during the inaugural Dumbo Double Dare, and Walt Disney World® did not get its first 10K race until January of 2014, so this distance is still in its infancy. I'm so happy I could tell you about today's exciting addition! 

    If you have plans to participate in the Captain America 10K, don't forget to mark your calendar for April 7th! This is when registration opens to the public and is sure to sell out in minutes!
