What is the largest table size in the dining rooms on the Magic? I have seen some very large tables on some cruises, even larger than the 10-top round. We are travelling with 18 family members so would like to have everyone together as much as possible.

    Welcome aboard, Valerie!

Wow, I am so impressed that you have a wonderful group of 18 people to join you on this upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! I love that you’re prioritizing family memories together and making these dreams come true. I was on the Disney Magic earlier this year – you'll love its newly reimagined spaces and the manageable size for meeting up with your large party throughout the cruise.

I had the chance to chat with my go-to helpful Crew Member, Rocco, who confirmed that the dining room tables can accommodate parties of 4, 6, or 8 Guests. I agree with you that I’ve seen a few large royal-looking tables in the center of each dining room onboard, but Disney cannot confirm a maximum party size for a table. The dining team works hard to accommodate every party for each dinner seating for each sailing, and it’s quite the puzzle to put together! I know the dining team wants to balance the efficiency and quality of service they can provide with having your family together in the main dining rooms for your rotational dining experience.

Here’s what I advise – first, please be sure that all your staterooms are linked together within your reservations on the Disney Cruise Line website and Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Then, navigate to Special Requests and select the option for Dining and a specify Table Requests. Finally, when you board the beautiful Disney Magic there will be a location and time listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for dining requests or changes. I suggest one of you take the time to visit the team at this time to express your priority of dining together. You can then confirm the planned seating arrangement and discuss if anything else can be changed for your experience. They may not be able to accommodate everyone at one single table; after all, it’s impossible to talk to a tablemate across that size table and it may physically impact the safety requirements of table spacing for walkways. I know the team will take good care to ensure that you are together in a section and able to share the evening experience as one family.

My favorite main dining room on the Disney Magic is Rapunzel’s Royal Table – you're going to love this beautifully immersive themed dining room, Valerie! The food and entertainment will make for an unforgettable experience together.
