We are going as a larger group. When it comes to mobile ordering, if we wanted to individually pay for our own meals but eat from the same dining venue, how can we ensure we get the same/similar return time?

Hi Ethan! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I love the convenience of mobile ordering food and beverages. I think it's a great idea, and I've done this while visiting the parks with a pretty sizable group. While there's no way to guarantee that everyone in your group can select the same return window, you can increase your chances by searching the Disneyland mobile app at the same time. I can briefly walk you through how to go about this!

Communicate with the group that it's time to select a location and return window. If you're separated, communicate with your mobile device that it's mobile ordering time! Everyone should pull up their Disneyland mobile app. Tap the three-bar menu at the bottom of the app. This will open up a page with a series of tiles. Tap "Order Food." You can either choose "As Soon as Possible" or "Schedule for Later" at the top. It might be a good idea to try to "Schedule for Later" earlier in the day to ensure more availability at your chosen location. You can also search within Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District, or Disneyland Hotel. You can also additionally filter for spots that are "Available Now" or "Nearby" your current location.

Communicate within the group which location and what return slot you're aiming to select. If multiple people can't confirm a similar return time, try another spot. Some dining locations may be easier to secure a similar return time than others. But there are lots of tasty choices. My big group successfully dined at Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Lane in Disney California Adventure Park and Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, for example.

    I hope this helps!
