Hello Julie, and a very warm welcome to
planDisney!
It sounds like you’re already on a road trip to the
Disneyland Resort, and will be arriving soon – how exciting! I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that you have several options depending on your situation. If you’re staying overnight at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, then you can speak with a parking attendant, who will show you where you can park your large truck and fifth-wheel RV. However, if you’re planning to park for the day or evening so you can visit the
Downtown Disney District, then you’ll want to head toward the
Toy Story Parking Area, a paid lot which is located at 1854 S. Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, California, 92802. This is the location for recreational and oversized vehicle parking. You can enter this parking area from South Harbor Boulevard, West Katella Avenue, or South Haster Street. Just keep in mind that accommodations for overnight parking are not available.
Once you’ve parked, you can board a bus to take you on a short drive to the Disneyland Resort. You’ll be dropped off at The Esplanade, which is the area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Continue straight past both theme parks to access Downtown Disney District, an outdoor shopping, entertainment, and dining area that is free to enter, with no admission ticket required. You will be required to pass through security prior to entering the Disneyland Resort property, and you will also need to wear a face mask on the bus on your way to the Resort.
My family was recently at Downtown Disney District, and we had a delicious meal at
Naples Ristorante e Bar. My kids are obsessed with their
Mac and Cheese, and I loved my Spaghetti and Meatballs! For dessert, I highly recommend stopping by the
CrazyShake Window by Black Tap for an over-the-top milkshake you’ll never forget! My family loves
The Cookie Shake!
I hope this information helps, Julie! Enjoy your Downtown Disney District adventures!
