We have a large reunion group, over 200 that all have reservations for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Do any of you know how seating is? We have been told different things by different agents. How can we all sit in the same proximity?

Wow Kellie!! You have quite a big reunion....heck I thought the 16 of us was a big group. This number takes quite a bit of good planning!

The seating for Mickey's Backyard Barbecue is basically done on first come basis. If you want to get together you should try to arrive together so you are in line as a group. There are often characters on the walkway to help the time go faster when you come early. They will also be nice and pass around drinks especially if the weather is quite warm.

Once you are inside the facility you will see long rows of benches and tables together. The "prime" seats are those that are up against the dance area in front of the stage. It is easy to see all the entertainment without leaving your seat. Of course those are the ones that go quickly. Other then that the seating is about the same. The food is buffet style and set up in several rows in the back.

You can save a couple of seats at a table but it will not be possible to save numerous empty tables for your group. Other guests who come in will have the right to sit at empty spots. So if you wish to be as together as possible then it is necessary for you to arrive together and be in line as a group. I have never seen this large of a group dining there but it is always worth you talking with the manager on duty that night to see if they can set up a section just for you.

Have fun and enjoy Fort Wilderness....my home away from home when I come for many visits!
