We have a large party going to Epcot. What is the best way to ensure everyone gets into the virtual queue?

    Hi there, Mary!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney on your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Just like Tiana, you're almost there!  If you're anything like me, when my magical countdown can be measured in days not weeks I'm floating through my work days in a haze of pixie dust.

I'm so glad you're headed to EPCOT!  With its seasonal festivals and the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, EPCOT has become one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. On a recent vacation, my husband and I were delighted to have September as our soundtrack on two journeys through space and time. I'm not sure I've yet come down from the rush of adrenaline upon hearing those first notes the second time.

Since you're traveling with a large group, gaining a coveted boarding group could be a bit tricky. I just confirmed with a helpful Cast Member that the maximum party size a single Guest can add to the Guardians of the Galaxy virtual queue from their Family & Friends List is 10. If your party is larger than 10, I suggest dividing the party amongst as many fast-fingered members of your party as necessary. To save the valuable 7 AM seconds, I suggest confirming the party for each person's virtual queue around 6:50 AM. Keep in mind that even if the people in charge of joining the virtual queue join at the exact same time, it is likely the boarding groups will have very different numbers. If enjoying the attraction as a group is important to your party, I suggest checking with an EPCOT Guest Experience Team member (found near the large blue umbrellas throughout the park) and politely asking for assistance. It isn't a guarantee, but in some instances, I have been told as long as Guests have secured a boarding group, Cast Members might be able to adjust the timing of the call-back to accommodate the needs of larger parties.

If your party is unsuccessful at obtaining a 7 AM boarding group, all hope is not lost! As long as your party is in EPCOT, your group can attempt to join the 1 PM virtual queue. You also have the option to purchase individual Lightning Lane entries that will allow your party to select a call-back time that best works with your schedule. One way or another, you're sure to have a wonderful time with the Guardians!

I hope this was helpful, Mary. If you need any additional assistance during your magical vacation, don't hesitate to stop back by. We're happy to help!
